When one searches the Internet for tips on how to make money from home, they’ll often be overwhelmed with the sheer number of courses and programs, all of which promise to deliver instant wealth and fortune. Of course, anyone who has even a little bit of skepticism will see through most of these false claims, and be left wondering “is this whole thing a scam, or are there some reals tips I can use to make money from home?”
Fortunately, the answer is yes - and as they always say, the best things in life are free. In this post I’m going to share with you a few tips that you too can use to make money from home.
First of all, what’s with all the craze about making money from home by filling out surveys? I just wanted to tell you that there’s far better methods to sustain an Internet income rather than resorting to this mind numbingly boring, low paying work. The tips I’m about to give you are ones that are concerned with earning a decent income, an income that you could use to give up your day job. Completing surveys and things such as that won’t allow you to do this.
So, my first “make money from home” tip for you is this: writing articles for a living.
Believe it or not, but Internet Marketers and Webmasters are in dire need of original, unique content. By writing articles based around certain keywords, you’ll be providing these types of people with the content they need. Get good at what you’re doing, and you’ll end up getting paid $10 per 1000 words of content that you write. If you can create 10,000 words of content in a day, then that’s $100 a day, if you could write 100,000… then you can really start to see the potential.
Whilst writing articles is a consistent, reliable form of income, if you’re a good writer then you may want to look into copywriting. Copywriting is a more advanced form of writing which is aimed at advertising a certain product or service. Marketers will pay premium sums of money for good quality copywriting services, sometimes as high as a dollar per word (that’s right). So, if you’ve ever felt that your words have always had a persuassive effect on other people, and you’re a great storyteller, then copywriting might be worth looking into.
Now, there are of course other ways to make money from home. Another method that I recommend is starting a blog. Successful bloggers have shown time and time again how easy it is to earn a living from the Internet. If you establish yourself as an authority blogger within a specific niche, and can gather enough RSS subscribers, then people will buy whatever products you recommend to them. You can then act as an affiliate for another company or business, selling their products for a commission.
Another great make money from home tip is to review digital products by setting up your own review site. People are always looking to buy virtual products, whether they be software programs, audio courses, ebooks, even video series, and if you can set up a review site showing people the pros and cons of some of the leading online products, then those people may purchase one of those products through an affiliate link of yours. This mean you’ll receive a percentage of the sale that you direct.
One last method I’d like to discuss is setting up your own membership site. Out of all the methods discussed so far, setting up a membership site is perhaps the best way to make money from home. Not only do you have full control over the membership site (meaning you run it like a business) but everything can be automated. You can download scripts which automatically add new products and content to your membership site on an ongoing basis. This means you can leave it as a “set and forget” autopilot money making machine.
Another great advantage of running a membership site which people often overlook is the ability to establish business relationships with your customers. A membership site allows you to interact with your customers if you so choose, particularly if you have a forum. This gives members an incentive to stay a member of the site, and at the same time pay you recurring monthly fees for the membership.
Another great bonus is the trust a membership site establishes. Because you’re providing your customers with quality content on a weekly or monthly basis, and keeping in contact with them, they’ll be more inclinced to purchase any future products you recommend to them. This can be invaluable, particularly later on down the track when you’ve acquired quite a large subscriber list that you want to market new products and services to.
So as you can see, there are quite a few tips that you can follow to make money from home, but my own recommendation lies with the membership site more so than any other. Running your own business (such as a membership site) pays off in the long term, whereas with the other methods you’re still working for another person.
But let’s say you wanted to start a membership site however didn’t know how to go about it. Is it complex? Do you need programming knowledge? The answer to both of these questions, is no. It’s not complex, and no previous Internet or websmastering experience is necessary.
Because I often receive e-mails from people asking me (what I believe to be) pretty basic questions about running a membership site (such as where do I find products from etc), I’ve decided to create my own online mini-course which explains, in one easy to follow and neat ebook, how to find your own products that you can add to a membership site and sell as your own.
This course is free of course, and will get you started in setting up your own online business. So, if you want to start to learn the strategies that I use to make money from home, follow the instructions below to download my free course.
